So Far, Three Lifetimes Have Manifested Through 33 Years Of Experience.

Currently, I Am in The Fourth. I Won't Get Into Everything, But Context Is Essential To Understanding The Artwork I Create And The Community I Am Building Around Me.

My Name Is Mitch Myers (B.1989). I've Spent The Last Decade Producing Computer-Generated Creations For Varied Blue-Chip Industry Behemoths, Aaa Game Studios, And Some Of The World's Hottest Music Artists. I'm Sure You've Read Many Bios Like The One Above, Just A Short Flex But Little Substance. I've Stuck With A Similar Format In The Past, But There Is Much More To Tell.

Long Before Art Began To Mold Me, Circumstances Had Ahold Of My Psyche And The Personality Behind It. Young Enough To Understand What Was Happening But Not Why. My Perception Of Value Was Attached To What I Could Do For Others And The Reaction I Received In Return. So, As A Shy, Reserved, And Ultimately Insecure Teenager, I Was Constantly Searching For Something That Would Give Me Value Since I Couldn't seem to Give It To Myself at the time.

Music Was My Initial Way Out. Fortunately, I Had A True Talent For Stringed Instruments. As I Grew My Abilities, My Confidence Took My Personality From Reserved To Explosive. After High School, I Traveled To Charlotte, North Carolina, From St. Louis, Missouri, And Joined The Metalcore Band "A Stained Glass Romance" (Later "To The Lions"). After Getting Signed, I Was On The Road For 8-10 Months Out Of The Year Touring. Unfortunately, After A Few Years Of This, The Hollow Self-Confidence That I Had Created Began To Chip Away. I Knew I Was Free, But I Didn't Feel The Freedom Any Longer.

It Was Time To Re-Group And What Do Young Adults Do When Their Dreams Crumble? Go To College. Lmao. But For Real, That's What I Did. The One Positive To Come Out Of It Was My Introduction To Animation And CG Artwork.

This New Passion Was Intense, Let Me Tell You. While Learning Guitar, I Used To Play Until My Fingers Would Bleed, And Then I Would Play More. This Had A Similar Flavor But With A Touch Of Fear. It Had Been Such A Long Time Since I Had To Look Inward At Myself. Music Had Created A Barrier Between Me And The Act Of Second-Guessing. I Had The Magic Formula That I Had Made For Myself Once Again. However, There Would Be A Hidden Hand That Would Drag Me Down To Depths I Never Knew Existed.

But First! Massive Growth And Speed! I Invested My Life Into Becoming The Most Sought-After Artist I Could Become. This meant Spending Every Second On New And Current Internships, Creating Connections Throughout The Art Industry, Tutorials And Program Knowledge, Art History And Theory, And Creating My Artistic Identity.

Fortune Favors The Hard Working. I Quickly Grew My Presence Nationally And Worldwide, Working First For The NFL, Moving On To Different Agencies, And Finally, Creating As A Freelancer While Starting A Family Throughout The Process.

Here Is Where Things Get Tricky Again.

My Freelance Career Began With A Massive Bang In 2018. My First Freelance Client Was The Mill NYC, An Opportunity To Create The Adobe After Effects Brand Identity Popped In My Email List, And I Was Presenting At NAB In LA For Maxon C4D Alongside Some Of My Best Friends As Well As The Now-Infamous Beeple. As These Blessings Found Me, So Did The Suffering Of Death, Depression, Chronic Severe Pain, And Therefore, A Complete Loss Of Self. After Struggling To Maintain The Productivity Required To Be Successful In Digital Art/Entertainment While Fighting Off Suicide, I Was Forced To Take A Hiatus At The Beginning Of 2020.

Physical Pain Grew To A Daily Intensity That Became Unmanageable. My Life Was A Second-By-Second Fight Against Pain And The Realization That There Is Nothing That Can Help. I Spent My Days Searching For A Diagnosis With Varied Specialists Who Barely Took Self-Pay (If At All) While Still Fighting To Keep My Artistic Identity Relevant To The Outside World. Without The Ability To Travel, This Became Harder And Harder To Achieve. The Friends I Once Felt A Family Connection With Disappeared. The Clients That I Felt Cared About More Than Money Disappeared. I Felt More Alone Than Ever Because I Was More Alone Than Ever.

We Now Land On 2021 And The NFT Craze Is In Full Swing. I Begin To Research NFTs And How They Are Changing The Value Of Digital Artwork. I've Invested In The Blockchain Before, So It Wasn't A Completely New Idea To Comprehend, But My Trust In My Physical Abilities Still Hung Over My Head Along With My Lack Of Value. Would I Be Able To Keep Up? Would I Be Able To Create A Community Around Me? Am I Valuable At All? These Needed Clarification First.

Progress Has Been Steady Since The Beginning Of 2021. NFTs Have Given Me The Outlet To Create, The Joy Of Meeting Others Online, And The Flexibility My Body Requires. My Mental State Has Returned, And I No Longer Need To Disassociate To Manage Pain. Most Importantly, I Have A Solid Foundation To Build The Exciting And Productive Future I've Always Envisioned.
